Marty Joel, ex-WB6JFO (JB, 1976)
For me, Mr. Ryan put the gentle in gentleman. I like how he referred to everyone as "you good kids", especially considering where our school was,and that it contained the Crips, 18th Street, and Santana gangs. Even when he was dealing with someone doing something wrong, he treated the little hooligan respectfully. He was an inspiration and a role model, and my life and countless others are better for having known him.
