Darry Harris, ex-WB6FWM, JB Class of 1976.
Like all of you, I got my Novice license (WB6FWM) with the assistance of Mr. Ryan.  Truth be told, I didn't understand most of stuff he was talking about, but still had a great time learning from him.  Also, learning Morse Code was cool and helpful too; especially during a math quiz.

Unfortunately I switched over to the dark side.  I became a CB'er and I went 10-8 Good Buddy.  But my love for radio stayed with me, due to my beginnings with Mr. Ryan.  As a side note, I was actually a Radio DJ for 2 years at Los Angeles Valley College (KVCM).  Again, you know where it all began.

It's good to hear from guys.

See you later,
